Meet Our CrossFit Coaches
My name is Gabrielle Montenegro (Gabby for short) and I’m original from Saratoga Springs, NY and have been in the Boston area for 3 years now. I have grown up playing sports all my life and I played college ice hockey at SUNY Oswego in New York State. As well as coaching CrossFit, I also coach the Girls’ Varsity Ice Hockey Team at Beaver Country Day School in Chestnut Hill. Once graduating from college I tried to find the same competitive, fast pace environment like hockey and within a couple months I discovered CrossFit and have been doing it now for 4.5 years and have loved it ever since! CrossFit has allowed me to continue pushing myself physically and mentally and has introduced me to so many like-minded people that known the importance’s of fitness in once life. As a coach I want to inspire individuals to make long term lifestyle changes, and I have found that CrossFit’s scalable intensity and commitment to functional movement make it the perfect program for individuals of all ages and abilities. I always like to tell new people or people interested in trying CrossFit that anyone can take part and do any of the functional movements in CrossFit. All the movements shown and taught in CrossFit are actions we use in the world outside of the CrossFit Box, so should all master them with the best of our ability.
